Decorated jigsaw pieces are all very popular at the moment and here we have some scaled down pieces that have been embellished and added to a card.
These pieces come in a pack of twelve puzzles, with each puzzle consisting of sixteen pieces. As you can see, one pack will go a very long way!
Alcohol Inks have been used to add colour to the plain puzzle pieces before they are stamped and embossed. Great fun to do and they can be themed to suit all occasions.
Start by stamping the Secret Keys image onto the buff card using the Vintage Sepia ink pad. Then line it up above the first image and stamp it again, having re-inked the stamp. Now make a second row of two images, matching up the edges of the stamp each time. From this stamped card, tear a strip about 6cm wide. This only needs to be torn on the right hand side.
Cut the A4 black card in half and fold one piece in half to form the main card. From the front layer of the folded card, tear a strip off that measures about 7.5cm.
When tearing card, if you tear towards you, as in the picture, you will have a lovely edge showing. Tear away from you, and the tear will be crisper. All a matter of taste really.
Use double-sided tape to attach the stamped beige card to the inside of the torn edge of the black card.
Now for the four jigsaw pieces. Attach the felt pad to the Applicator Tool and add a few drops of each of the three Alcohol inks.
