This is the third in our series using the Artifacts Alpine Floral plates. I am sure you will agree all three projects, while using the same stamps, all look quite different. Each of the designers have their very own style which comes out beautifully in their projects. Sue has made a lovely canvas to hang on the wall, along with some pretty cards which will have many varied uses. Have fun playing! |

Periodically we thought we would try and show you some differently folded cards. The idea is to show you the fold, with just a quick sample card, so that you can play with it for yourself. Our first unusual card is a diamond-fold card. I have to say that when I first saw it, my head went into a bit of a spin. However, it is much easier to make than it is to try and work out how it is made!

by Penny Bearcroft Metal work on your cards is very popular right now and these pretty cards really make you want to have a go. Metal sheets can be stamped on, run through a Cuttlebug machine, die cut, embossed, shaped and so much more. You’ll wonder how you ever made anything without it! |

The Oriental style always seems to stay in fashion. So we thought we’d show you a simple Kimono card that can be decorated in as many different ways as you have stamps and ink pads! The basic card will stay the same, but it can be made to look quite different by changing the colours you use and the stamp images. It is great fun to make as you can really ‘play’ with the paper you stamp up. |

The January theme for the ATC and Card swaps was Cakes and we had a veritable feast, once again! I think I must have put on a few of the pounds I had lost, just looking at them! Have a look first at the ATCs... These two pretty cup cakes are from Becky Bailey in Southampton |

This month’s free stamp plate includes an identifying stamp for your ATCs or other projects for friends. Simply stamp it, sign it and send it. There are also a couple of words, some corners and a swirly image, which is great for using around edges, or as a focal point. We’ve also put together a kit so that you can start using it straightaway. Here are some great ATC ideas to get you started. |

by Penny Bearcroft I don’t do a huge amount of scrapbooking, but now and then, I come across something that makes me think ‘oooo, photography layout’. This one started with the flower punches from Woodware – they come in several different sizes and are brilliant for layering up together. Also, I’ve had these pictures of my daughter lying around for ages (she’s 8 now!) waiting for me to do something with – so here it is.
