This is the third in our series using the Artifacts Alpine Floral plates. I am sure you will agree all three projects, while using the same stamps, all look quite different. Each of the designers have their very own style which comes out beautifully in their projects. Sue has made a lovely canvas to hang on the wall, along with some pretty cards which will have many varied uses. Have fun playing!
April Canvas We used: Step by Step: - Cover the canvas with a generous amount of gesso, spreading the gesso into lumps, bumps and ridges using an old credit card. Set aside to dry. This may take overnight for the areas with heavier applications to dry completely.
- Once dry rub the Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans and Spiced Marmalade ink pads randomly across the canvas. Spray with water to mix the colours and dry with a heat tool and paper towels. Apply more ink where you feel you need to, spray again, and continue until you have a look you are happy with.
- Tear a piece of an old book page to fit into the centre of the canvas.
 - Stamp randomly across the page with several of the Flower images and the Distress ink pads.
 - Use a piece of sequin waste as a stencil to add a dotted pattern to the corners of the page using the Faded Jeans and Spiced Marmalade ink pads.
- Tear a separate strip of book page, colour it lightly with the Weathered Wood ink pad and then attach it across the bigger piece.
 - Randomly colour a piece of glossy card with the StazOn ink colours picking the ink up from the ink pad with a piece of sponge. Stamp one of the Flower images onto the coloured card using a black Memories ink pad. Trim around the image to give a small rectangle. Run a craft knife around the edges of the card to remove the ink and give a white border. Add this piece to the book page, overlapping the extra strip.
- Colour the edges of the book page with ink picked up from the black ink pad on a piece of sponge and then glue the page to the centre of the canvas.
 - Colour a small calendar piece with the blue and orange Distress ink pads, spray with water to spread the ink and dry with a heat tool. Add this to the bottom left corner of the page and then add a postage stamp as extra embellishment.
March Card We used: Step by Step: - Cut a piece of semi glossy card to fit the front of a folded A5 card, leaving a small border.
- Rub the card with the Faded Jeans and Spiced Marmalade ink pads. Spray with water to spread the colour and dry with a heat tool and paper towels.
- Use a piece of sequin waste as a stencil to add a dotted pattern to the top left corner of the card using the Faded Jeans ink pad.
 - Choose a couple of the Flower images and stamp one of them several times towards the left side of the card and another towards the right hand side using the blue ink pad and then add a few images of a third flower in orange.
- Randomly colour a piece of glossy card with the StazOn ink colours picking the ink up from the ink pad with a piece of sponge. Stamp one of the Flower images onto the coloured card using a black Memories ink pad. Trim around the image to give a small rectangle. Use the sequin waste stencil in two corners to add dots and then run a craft knife around the edges of the card to remove the ink and give a white border.
 - Tear a strip from an old book page and add this to the card along with the piece made in step 5. Stamp the dandelion flower image across the strip of book page using a black Memories ink pad.
- Attach two postage stamps overlapping the paper strip and the black stamped images.
 - Colour a small calendar piece with the brown and orange Distress ink pads, spray with water to spread the ink and dry with a heat tool. Stamp a couple of small Flower images across the piece and then add this to the bottom left corner of the page.
- Colour the edges of the card with ink picked up from the black ink pad on a piece of sponge and then attach the piece to the folded card.
Several Months Card We used: Step by Step: - Colour a piece of calendar with the blue and orange Distress ink pads, spray with water to mix the colours and then dry with a heat gun and paper towels.
- Stamp a couple of the Flower images over the calendar using the blue ink pad and then add dots of colour with the sequin waste and the orange ink pad.
- Edge the calendar piece with black ink picked up from the ink pad with a sponge.
- Tear a page from an old book and trim to size to fit the front of a folded A5 card. Colour the page with the Distress ink pads and spray to mix the colours. Dry with a heat tool and then add a few dots using the sequin waste to the top left corner.
- Fasten the book page to the front of a folded card and add the calendar page to the bottom left corner.
 - Add this piece to the front of the card overlapping the calendar page. Add a couple of postage stamps as extra embellishment.
