by Penny Bearcroft I don’t do a huge amount of scrapbooking, but now and then, I come across something that makes me think ‘oooo, photography layout’. This one started with the flower punches from Woodware – they come in several different sizes and are brilliant for layering up together. Also, I’ve had these pictures of my daughter lying around for ages (she’s 8 now!) waiting for me to do something with – so here it is.
We used: You will also need - an old credit card, a needle tool and a paper distresser Step by Step: - Sponge the edges of the pink dot paper with Cranberry ink. Stamp the Collage Splatter around the edges in black ink.

 - Take the old credit card and dab it on to the Cranberry ink pad. ‘Stamp’ it around the Cranberry edged paper, crisscrossing the lines here and there, for a really grungy finish.
 - Run the paper distresser around the edges to complete the look.
- Mount all the photos on to maroon card and trim leaving a border. Arrange on the paper.
- Cut a small piece of patterned paper and stamp it with the ‘Notes’ image in Cranberry ink. Mount on to maroon card – this is for any journaling you might like to add. Arrange the photos until you like the look of the layout.
- Stamp some of the Squiggly Ink images around the photos, using Cranberry ink. Sort out a title from the Love Letters and arrange in a suitable place. Note – some of these were white, but I didn’t like it, so I coloured them with Alcohol Inks.
 - Punch out an assortment of the flowers, using all the different cards/paper, and all the different sizes. Layer them together, one of each size (or however you like!) and make holes in all the centres. TIP – I find it easier to do this to each one separately with a needle tool - and then just fix them together with small brads.
 - Add the flowers to your layout, moving all of the elements around until you are happy with the result. At this point, I like to take a quick photo; otherwise, I’d just forget where everything went…
- Now all you have to do is stick everything down. This is where the photo comes in handy! Some of the flowers are stuck directly to the page, others mounted on sticky foam pads.
- I then added the small Grungeboard arrow (which was covered in Cranberry ink, and then clear embossed) and the sticky pink pearls as a final embellishment.
The finished artwork
I guess this wouldn’t fit in an album as such, but it would make a great wall decoration if it was framed!
