This wall hanging uses a number of different techniques and products. It’s more about using stuff you have to hand rather than getting special items in, so you have to be creative and rummage about on your desk to see what you could ‘recycle!’ The base is made from acetate which is a great surface to use your Alcohol Inks on. We’ve used them here with a mask and a matching stamp. It has been backed it with paper and card and embellishment layers are added to the top, the final piece being an Art Mould, which adds dimension to the whole project. We have left the choice of stamps to you, as you can then use what you already have.
Materials: Step by Step: - Cut a piece of stiff acetate approximately 10cm x 20cm. Peel the mask off its protective backing and stick on the acetate.
- Apply the Alcohol Inks all over the acetate, paying particular attention to the areas around and in-between the mask. Let dry and then peel off the mask.
- Tear strips of newsprint paper and glue on to the acetate. Edge with gold Krylon pen.

- Stamp the matching image on to a piece of script backing paper with black ink. Tear around the image and distress the edges with a little Walnut Stain ink. Stick on as shown.
- Add small pieces of German Scrap, attaching it with strong glue.

- Using a heat gun, melt a piece of gold Friendly Plastic into the Art Mould. When melted, mould with wet fingers, and cool.

- Distress the surface with Black and Copper paint.

- Apply a think layer of silicone glue to the back of the Artmould piece and attach a few pieces of Lametta to it. Stick on to the acetate.

- Add dots of silicone glue here and there and then sprinkle with various Micro Beads. Leave to set.

- Place a piece of script paper behind the acetate, and move around till you can see where it fits. Ours is only about 2/3 the size of the whole panel. When you are happy, glue the paper to the acetate, using clear dry glue.
- Cut the acetate edges with deckle scissors and mount on to a piece of gold mirror card. Mount this in turn on to a piece of brown card.

- Punch two holes at the top and set with eyelets.
- Thread with fibres, adding beads first if you like.
