A second idea for using your free stamps this time round. These stamps are the perfect size for using on scrapbook pages and they are pretty easy to cut out if that is what works on your page. I have to say that the scrapbooking I tend to do is fairly simple as I prefer the photos to be the main part of the page. But who knows, over time that may change!
This page is very simple but as you will no doubt notice, the pictures have nothing to do with the sand castles, buckets and spades! There’s a very good reason for this – we don’t take summer, beach holidays! We tend to go away in the winter, hence these pictures, but it gives you an idea of the possibilities with these brilliant stamps designed, once again, by my sister, Fryn. We used: - Wish You Were Here plate of stamps – free SSP plate February 2010
- Green Pearlescent Card
- Yellow Patterned Paper
- Templates with an Edge – Totally Square – please call us for details
- VersaFine Ink Pad – Black
- Craft Knife and Cutting Mat
- Fine Scissors
- Ruler
- Glue
- Photographs
Step by Step: - Cut the green card to the required size for your page. This one is 8.5 x 8.5cm.
 - Using the Totally Square template, draw around the scalloped edge on the reverse of the patterned yellow paper, then carefully cut out the shape with scissors. Attach this layer to the centre of the green page. These templates come in sets with quite a lot of different sizes within each set.
 - Cut two narrow strips of green card and stamp ‘Wish You Were Here’ along one of them using the black ink pad. Using the same ink pad, stamp two tags and a suitcase on the green card and two castles and two bucket and spades on the patterned yellow paper. Cut out the various shapes.
 - Use glue to attach the two strips to the page, then add your photographs. I put the two tags close to where these strips cross each other and then used them to add my journaling.
- Attach the other elements around the page and you are done!
Like I said – keep it simple and let the photos do the talking!
