More quick and easy ideas for using the Miss Miyuki plate of stamps.

This first card demonstrates how useful the smaller images are for creating very pretty backgrounds that can then be layered onto your work. Also it shows how to use Brush Marker pens as watercolours.

We used:

Step by Step:

  1. Fold the A5 blue card in half to form the main card.
  2. Use the sponge to pick up some red ink from the ink pad and dab it onto the white paper. Then do the dame with the blue ink but be quite sparing with this colour.
  3. Use the smaller elements and the same two ink pads to then stamp out some images over the sponged background.
  4. Stamp Miss Miyuki onto white card using the black ink pad. Heat set the ink with a heat tool. Dip the paintbrush into water and use it to gently wipe some colour from the tip of one of the brush marker pens. Apply the colour on the paintbrush to the stamped image, using a little water to help spread the colour around. Continue until you have completed the painting.
  5. When the ink is dry, trim around the image and mount it onto gold card, trimming to leave a narrow border. Then mount it onto the sponged and stamped background paper made earlier, cutting it down to size. Attach this to the centre top part of the blue card.
  6. Stamp the words and a flower onto the background paper made earlier and cut out both pieces. Punch a daisy from the same paper.
  7. Attach the word Konnichi Wa under the panel. Fix the two flowers to the lower right of the card using the gold brad.

Phone Charm

The phone charm, seen in the main picture is simply stamped onto shrink plastic using a Lightning Black Brilliance ink pad. Leave the ink to dry as much as possible before adding colour with pencils. Punch a hole above her head, then cut her out carefully.

Use a heat tool to shrink the piece down and attach it to the phone with the mobile phone attachment. (for mobile phone attachments - please click here)

VERY simple but a quick and easy small gift for your mobile phone using friends!

The finished pieces!
