Many Happy Memories 1

This super book is perfect for all sorts of occasions and would make a lovely gift for almost anyone.

Normally I would create a book using the Bind-it-all, but Papermania have a great range of chipboard albums at great prices.

We used:

Step by Step:

  1. Book Covers. Cover the outer covers in gold paper and matt Wild Asparagus paper to the centres on the inside and outside.
  2. Front Cover. Randomly stamp onto covers using the Crimson Copper Ink Pad.
  3. Tear the dictionary page and distress using the Old Paper Distress ink pad, then adhere it to the front of the book.
  4. Dab the gold acrylic Paint Dabber onto the Grungeboard letters and wings to create a distressed effect and leave to dry. Once dry, attach them to the top of the cover using Glossy Accents.
  5. Stamp Times Past onto the Appletini metal using the StazOn and once dry select areas to define and trace around them using the embossing tool.
  6. Flip the metal over and traces around the image to further define it. Put metal onto foam mat and puff out using the embossing stylus tool. Keep flipping the metal to define and puff out until you are happy. Fill cavity with Glossy Accents and matt onto card – leave to dry
  7. Stamp the Fob Watch stamp onto pearl metal and define and puff metal as with the Times Past stamp. Scribble onto the metal using Teflon tipped tool to create a background. Add Glossy Accents to the cavity and matt onto card.

  8. Once dry, attach it to the album cover and add the wings. Attach a metal charm to the bottom right of the page.
  9. Inner Pages. I used a journal stencil to create lines using Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. The lines can be drawn using a ruler or any other means.
  10. Stamp DATE using the Distressed Alphabet and the Peeled Paint Distress ink pad.

  11. To create pockets, fold a 16 x 13cm piece of acetate in half and crease using a bone folder. Glue the left side with Glossy Accents to create pocket. Fold over the top of the pocket and glue down with Glossy Accents, then attach a tiny button.
  12. Stamp images using the gold acrylic Paint Dabber and leave to dry.
  13. Once dry attach to the bottom of the page.

  14. Randomly stamp images onto the tags and place in the pockets until you have memories to replace them with.
  15. Finishing. To finish the book, tie ribbons around the binding rings.

The Finished Piece!
