Buttons and Sewing notions make for great cards and these stamps work really well together. Add in the Krafty Lady Torso Art Mould and you have a perfect tailors dummy for the sewing themed cards.

If you are interested in the newer colours of Alcohol Inks, please give The Stamp Bug Ltd a call - 01285 750308.

Memories Tag Book Part 2 - 1
I have been meaning to make a memory book of sorts since my dad died three years ago. It was only when we had a tag book card sent in for our Card Swap, from Pat in Norway, that I thought this idea would work well for what I wanted.

The hardest part is finding the right papers to use! Having done that, the rest is quite easy!

From Yvonne Wolsey in Luton, Bedfordshire

For any Member who wishes to join in with the ATC and Card swaps all the low down on the ATCs is in Issue 2 of Guilded. The card swap is easy, just make a card following the theme for the month as listed in the Guild Hall Forum.

Let’s try and get more Guild Members joining in please! It is great fun and you never know what will drop through your letterbox in the swap!

Like to take part?

The May ATC and Card swap theme was Fairyland. Have a look at what our swappers have made...

order and chaos 10
The cards and tag that make up this project came into being after an Internet search into order and chaos for some inspiration and I found a couple of quotes that I really like and this started off a train of thought. I have used a layered stamping technique I developed a little while ago which is in itself a little chaotic but I think it works perfectly with the Complex Creations stamps. It¹s also great, as the stamping doesn¹t have to be perfect to look good.

There are also a couple of bonus techniques for you to try. I have quite a lot of pressed flowers in my craft cupboard and the pretty heart on one of the cards came about as a result of this.

Project by Mickie Sutcliffe

Beauty Part 1 - 8
We thought it would be good to involve Guild Members in the Guild magazine, so we have set up 3 Design Teams each consisting of two Guild Members. The idea is that we will send each team a plate of Artifacts stamps to see what they can come up with. This is brilliant as we all want to get the most out of what we buy and this idea will show us just that.

Beauty Part 1 - 1

So our first team was sent the Beauty plate and Mickie Sutcliffe has made these gorgeous cards with it. We’ll have part two of Mickies projects in the next issue along with the project from her fellow team member – Beth Hammonds project. Well done and thank you to both Mickie and Beth.

ode to the muse 1

Your FREE stamp plate, which goes with this issue of Guilded, includes some background elements that you can use together or separately. Use them for edging cards and ATCs or put them together for an intricate and detailed image that you can use for a focal point. The text is from an old poem ‘Ode to the Muse’. We have used some of the new Alcohol Ink pastel colours to make these projects. Like the original colours they all go together brilliantly, whichever you choose. Try them on cream gloss card as well as white for a subtly different effect.

The Stamp Bug has put together a kit to help you on your way with these projects. We haven’t included the Alcohol Inks in the kit as this then leaves you free to swap the colours if you wish. Ordering information and further details are listed separately, under Ode to the Muse Special Offer Pack.
