We thought it would be good to involve Guild Members in the Guild magazine, so we have set up 3 Design Teams each consisting of two Guild Members. The idea is that we will send each team a plate of Artifacts stamps to see what they can come up with. This is brilliant as we all want to get the most out of what we buy and this idea will show us just that. Last time we started off Mickie Sutcliffe’s projects with her three beautiful cards using the Artifacts Beauty Unmounted plate, as part of our Members Design Team challenges. Here we have the second part of Mickie's projects and, once again, they are lovely and they are very inspiring for us all. |

The July theme for our ATC and Card Swaps was Hidden Secrets. There are some that had some great hidden secrets – I have found them, but I’ll not spoil the fun for the ‘swapees’! Mind you, you’ll have received them by now anyway!! Some are quite ingenious! Others we have photographed to show their secrets to give you some fantastic ideas as to what can be done with this small size of card. So, starting off with the ATCs then... |

Guild Member Beth Hammond joined our Design Teams and here is her first project... ...I wanted to use the stamps in different ways with different colour schemes and techniques, but decided to link them together with a theme. The stamp of the eye gave me the idea of an eye peering through a keyhole, which led to the theme Secrets. My projects are therefore Love Letters, a Valentine's card with a secret message, Hidden Treasures, a jewellery box, and a final card Girl Talk.

In the last issue of Guilded we showed you the Family Memories Tag Book as a project. Inspiration for this was taken from a beautiful Tag Book that Pat Townshend-Alnes, from Norway. Sent in as part of the Baby Card Swap. We thought it would be good to show you exactly what Pat made, although we haven’t repeated the instructions as these can be found in the August Guilded. We will run through the sequence of pages in Pat’s book with just a few brief details of what has been done. |

Border design stamps are so useful. Not only can they be used to edge a card or scrapbook page, but they can also be used to frame a picture or photograph on a page. Here we have given a few ideas – one as a card edging, one to show how they can be used to add pattern to collage pieces and the third example shows their use as background stamps. So as you can see they are an extremely good addition to your collection of stamps! |
